Florine S. Wilson, age 88, of Mena, Arkansas, passed away
Sunday, February 26, 2012 in Mena.
She was born June 19, 1923 in in Cove, Arkansas to the late Olive E. Skinner
and the late Bertha Lee Cecil Skinner. She was a Christian and was of the
Methodist faith. She was married to Wilbur A. Wilson on July 25, 1947 in Port
Arthur, Texas. They returned to Polk County after Colonel Wilson retired from
military service. Mrs. Wilson was a retired Registered Nurse, having worked
many years in Polk County Hospital, as well as in other medical areas. Mrs.
Wilson was very active in many facets of Mena/Polk County; she was a member of
the Optimist Club, Lioness Club, President of the Polk County Library Board,
and was an Eastern Star. She served as President on the Hospital Auxiliary, at
which time she helped to set up Life Line for Polk County, and she volunteered
at the Depot to welcome visitors to Polk County and was a supporter of the
Ouachita Little Theater.
She is survived by her sister, Marie Skinner Caston and husband Robert of San
Augustine, Texas; nephews and families, Robby and Nancy Caston of Houston,
Texas, Ronny and Cindi Caston and their children, Robert Andrew Caston of San
Augustine and John Richard and Megan of Nacogdoches, Texas, Rusty and Amy
Caston and children Kayla and Keslie Caston of Humble, Texas and Kimberly and
Chris Litton and children Kerry Emma, and Petyon of Houston, Texas; one niece,
Rhonda and Bryan Holt and son Robert Michael of Nacogdoches, Texas, and special
friends Anthony and Jeannie Lewis of Mena, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O.E. Skinner and her
husband of 49 years, Colonel Wilbur Wilson.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at
Pinecrest Memorial Park with Brother Andy Kennedy officiating. Visitation for
family and friends will be Tuesday evening, February 28th, from 5:00 to 7:00
p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the
Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Bourn, John Puckett, Christopher Thrailkill,
Russell Nichols, Daryn Wiles and Danny Thrailkill. Honorary pallbearers are
Robert Caston, Robby Caston, Ronny Caston, Rusty Caston, Bryan Holt, Anthony

Randy Wright, age 56, of Hatfield, Arkansas and Zafra,
Oklahoma died Friday, February 24, 2012 at his home in Zafra. He was born on
Wednesday, February 15, 1956 to Harold Wayne and Mary Grapes Wright in Wichita,
Kansas.
Randy’s philosophy in life was to treat others with respect, and
respect would be returned, and that everyone puts their pants on the same way.
Randy was a man who pursued the kingdom of heaven and was a member of the Zafra
Christian Church in Oklahoma. Randy prized possession in life was his family;
his children and grandchildren. He loved spending time with them in the
outdoors, trail riding, fishing, and hunting. He was a member of the Six Mile
Hunting Club in Hatfield, Arkansas. He loved and appreciated the ability to
work hard, and approached it joyfully. Randy worked as a Master Plumber in 4
states; Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Colorado. He was a loving father,
grandfather, brother, uncle and friend; he will be missed by all who knew him
and his love carries on a legacy.
He is preceded in death by his
parents, Harold & Mary Wright of Hatfield, Arkansas.
Survivors
include one son, Dalton Wright of Howe, Oklahoma; one daughter, Genevieve
Wright of Brentwood, Tennessee; two brothers, Edward Wright and Bill Wright
both of Hatfield; two sisters, Jeannie Downs of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania,
Shirley Sanden of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three grandchildren, Chloe,
Christian and London Shreve all of Brentwood, Tennessee; several nieces and
nephews and a host of other relatives and friends throughout the country.
A memorial service will be Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the
Hatfield High School Auditorium with David Donica officiating. Randy donated
his body to the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences for research and to
help train our new doctors. Funeral services are entrusted to Bowser Family
Funeral Home in Mena.

Sandra Anderson Sessler, age 64, of Mena died Friday, February 17, 2012
at her home. She was born on Tuesday, October 7, 1947 to Milfred “Andy” and
Gladys Anderson in Janesville, Wisconsin.
Sandra had a strong Christian
faith and believed her salvation was through grace. God’s love was ever present
in her life and she was able to show his grace through the way she lived her
life. She taught Sunday school from Kindergarten to High School students at
Grace Bible Church in Mena where she was a member for many years; also founded
the AWANA Bible Club in Mena and was its Commander for 15 years. Sandra loved
music and sang at many weddings and funerals. Sandra was also active in the
Ouachita Little Theater for many years, directing plays and performing in
musicals, and she received Ouachita Little Theater's Benson Award. Sandra was
an educator and taught Speech and Drama at Wisconsin Heights High School for
several years. As a high school student she received the John Phillip Sousa
Award for band and the Betty Crocker Homemaking Award. Some of Sandra’s hobbies
were singing, sewing, knitting baby blankets and dishcloths for friends,
watching British period dramas and acting in local plays. She was a loving
wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by all who knew
her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; parents in law, Harold and
Dorothy Sessler; and her brother Tom Anderson.
Survivors include her
husband, Lonnie Sessler of the home; one son, Anderson Sessler and wife Charlie
of Mena; one daughter, Shayna Sessler of Little Rock; two sisters, Jyll
Anderson of Racine, Wisconsin and Kelli Jo Lewin of Edgerton, Wisconsin; two
grandchildren, Allie and Layla Sessler of Mena; several nieces and nephews and
a host of other relatives and friends.

Cecilia Rappold, 81, of Houston, AR passed away on February 15, 2012. Born in Bandera, Texas, she was the
eighth child of the late Henry and Mary Mazurek. Marie was a loving wife, mother of
fourteen, grandmother of thirty, great grandmother of eighteen.
She enjoyed her family, flower garden, crafts, music, dancing and
travel.
Marie is survived by her husband of 61 years, Horace Rappold; her
children: sons, Richard Rappold and children Cecil Rappold and wife Sharon and
children, Thomas Rappold and children, Anton Rappold, Father Norbert Rappold,
David Rappold, wife Kelli and children, Andrew Rappold, wife Florence and
children, George Rappold, wife Tara and child; daughters: Margaret husband Ricky
Minchew and child, Agnes Rappold, Helen Rappold, Dorothy, husband Jim Ingram and
children, Elizabeth, husband Conrad Gunther and children, and Monica, husband

Omer Jackson Riley, II age 56, of Mena, Arkansas passed away
Tuesday, February 14, 2012 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
He was born March 1, 1955 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Ray Riley, Sr.
and to Jean Oliver. He was a self-employed handy-man and enjoyed the outdoors,
particularly the mountains and fishing. Mr. Riley’s greatest passion, however,
was his family, who will miss him very much.
He is survived by:

Bryce Earl Loomis Jr.
June 24, 1924 - February 13, 2012
Bryce Earl Loomis Jr. age 87 of Mena, died Monday, February 13,
2012 at the Oklahoma Veteran’s Center in Talihina, Oklahoma. He was born on
Tuesday, June 24, 1924 to Bryce Earl Sr. and Georgia Ann Huggins Loomis in
Ponca City, Oklahoma.
Bryce was a Christian first in his life. He read
through the bible at least 3 times during his life and stood strong in his
belief. He was a follower of the teachings of Jesus Christ. Bryce served his
country in the United States Navy during World War II and served in the Pacific
Arena in the UDT Unit. He loved his family and was married to his wife, Arlene
for 53 years, before her passing in 2004. Bryce loved to travel to different
towns building church buildings. He enjoyed rebuilding classic cars, racing
cars, rodeos, nature, backwoods hiking, gardening and fishing. Bryce was a
loving, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be missed by
all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife,
Arlene Alma Loomis and one sister, Maxine Burge.
Survivors include one
son, Bryce Earl Loomis III of Salem, Oregon; two daughters, Lynda Loomis of
Hatfield and Rhonda Cheyne of Salem, Oregon; two brothers, Roy Loomis of
Denver, Colorado and Deighton “Sonny” Loomis of Klamath Falls, Oregon; four
sisters, Dolores Martin of Mena, Patricia McCarter of Mesa, Arizona, Bobby
Elliott of Salem, New Hampshire and Darlene Hanson of Klamath Falls, Oregon;
eight grandchildren, Holly Calhoun of San Antonio, Texas, Heather Johnson of
Glendale, Arizona, Carolyn Bos of Waddell, Arizona, Mark Cheyne of Portland,
Oregon, Crystel Cheyne, Corey Loomis, Christopher Loomis, Shane Loomis all of
Salem, Oregon; eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host
of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday,
February 20, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in
Mena. Interment will follow in the Spring Creek Cemetery in Springdale,
Arkansas at 3:00 P.M. Visitation will be Sunday, February 19, 2012 from 6-8
P.M. at Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mena.
